what size dont texas FH breed? i have 2 a male 5" and female 4". they been in the same tank with a divider for about 2 weeks now. i removing the divider to see what happen and all they did was fight, i was a good 20 min. then i sperated them, no damage done, the female lost a some fin. what can i don to make them spawn.

First, the female has to drop her tube..once she does that, open the devider and let them do their job!!!! However, sometimes they just don't pair up...nothing you can do!!!

I would wait another 3 weeks, but put something in the didvider that prevents them from seeing eachother. Such as a small bit of pond liner taped to the divider. Then once a day for maybe 10 mins or so take it away, then put it back. IME this makes them think its a different fish and aggressiveness will be reduced. I hope for your sakes they do breed.
