My carpintis is about 3 inches long now and as of last night is hiding in the top left corner of the tank refusing to eat. Not 12 hours ago he was swimming around like usual, showing off to everyone around the tank.

Last night we moved the couch up close to the TV and ever since he has been acting this way, could it really be the change in furniture? I also did a 20% water change yesterday, but he never acts adversely to even a 50% WC.

My params are am: 0, nit: 0, and nitra: 8, nothing high or changed significantly. I'm moving the couch back now, is there anything else I should be concerned about?

How long since it ate something?

Roughly 12 hours ago, he would not eat last night before the lights were turned off, and would not this morning. I feed small amounts 3 times a day. He sits almost sideways at the top of the tank behind the powerhead. I could be overreacting but it's the first time he has acted this way.

It has now been 30 minutes since I moved the couch back and my Carpintis is once again in the front of the tank and ate the pellets I dropped in. I didn't realize they could be so fussy about the environment outside of their tank :screwy:

They are quite the little buggers aren't they? I am however worried about his discomfort to change outside the tank. May 7th I will be moving, and if he reacts this way, how will he react to a new house? Let alone the trip itself.

Any tips at all for whats to come during and after the move?
