Texas Holly Rock

Does anyone know how to tell if texas holly rock is fake

Put some vinegar on it. If you don't get some fizz it is plastic. Holey rock is just limestone.

And holey rock usually isn't multicolored and the holes are random....and the bases aren't usually super flat....
I miss my African tank.
