Texas Lip Locking

My pair of tex are liplocking they have just had a bunch of fry (early sept) and they are now free swimming. They have been lip locking over the last two days.
My question is, Is it a Mating or an Authority thing. They were really aggressive during raising the fry but seemed to have calmed down.

They are only about 3 1/2 inches

I dont have pics of the liplocking but i have attaced pics of the fish themselves.

Any advice would be appreciated

cool looking pair, I wouldn't worry too much about the liplocking unless things continue to escalate. Prob about time to seperate those fry eh?

Already on it we are in the process of selling them and have managed to get rid of 15 to another MFK member in the UK.

when i had my texas pair they were mean to each other as well.
