I have a texas x synspilum that has changed a lot since 2 weeks ago when I had to get rid of my 5 footer. i have put him into a 4 ft now. when he sees me by the tank he swims away and hides and will not come out until I'm gone away from the tank. is there anything I can can do to make him act the way he used to. the same has happend with my red devil male he is in a diff tank and since I moved him he hides when I get close to the tank. all help is appreciated thnaks

Double check water params but might just be spooked from the move. Got any new pics of this fish? I enjoy Texas hybrids.

the water is fine. i have a flowerhorn in the same tank and he is fine. the flowerhorn hand feeds. but the tex x syn hides when i come near the tank.
will post some new pics soon

yah may be spooked due to the move may be you can add some dither fishes in there and see if that fish comes out
