hey guys I have a texas who is 3.5 inches and is a big wuss but since texas have such a bad rep for being nasty, do you think he will be a cold blooded killer as he should be going into a 120 or 135 with some other cichlids, polys and loaches
he will be with a sev, oscar and gold saum

or do you guys think he will be a glass banger living all alone

mine is in with severums and he has a nasty attitude toward new fish but my severums keep him in line. He is approaching 7 inches.

well my goldfish tank sprung a leak so I tossed the three buggers in the grow out tank and what do I find half an hour later
the torso of a white goldfish that was ever so cleverly named dip
so I don't know who did it but it was either my texas or clawed frog

I've got a 4-5" Texas in with 2 foot-long Oscars and he hides from them all the time. He's super aggressive to all other fish when I've tried putting him elsewhere. Then I've got a 'runt' Texas (3") in with an 8-9" Flowerhorn who's fast enough to get away from the FH. I've tried that Texas in other tanks also and he/she tears everyone else up. I think they're like dogs-if another fish isn't 'boss' they'll take over the job.

ok thanks
do you think this stock could keep him in check and add my favorite cichlid
oscar
GT
jag
texas

and I will try to get it so thats the size
or I might ditch em all and go for a breeding pair of jags

The only relatively 'passive' fish in that bunch is the Oscar. The Texas can surely hold his own with the others even if he's smaller. If the Oscar is considerably bigger than the Texas I think you'd be fine.

so you think that combo would be fine
and do you think I should have diethers?
and could come catfish be thrown into the picture

I have a good guess that my texas will be a total glass banger when he's big
I have had the goldfish in for 2 hours and 2 are already gone he completely devoured one and bit the head off of the other
and the bugger is only 3.5 inches long!
