So my neighbors have a female Labidochromis textilis that has been holding for 3 weeks now, Is she gonna pop, or die holding them? there's plenty of hiding spots, and filtration. I dunno what to say to them.... they tried the isolation net, and now she's free roaming. :screwy:

Any help would be appreciated. Thanx.

3 weeks is pretty normal. If they are really worried they can strip the fry.

[Assuming your right-handed]

First, place female into an isolated container. (bucket, or another tank). Strip the fry into a different container.

Grab fish and hold in left hand. Hold female upside down in the water. Open mouth with thumb of right-hand. Fry will swim out. Remove fry. Repeat.

Do not allow her mouth to be open too long (it's take practice). The fry will swim back into the mother's mouth once they figure out something isn't right :naughty:

Good luck!
