Textured ceiling

I am about to begin painting my living room but it has a textured ceiling.. Besides using a spray machine what type of bristle , brush would be the best to paint this surface... Thanks
 
You can roll it out with one of those big fluffy rollers. Just tarp everything as they drip something furious.

I think they call it a "long-nap" roller.

BTW, I hate painting! It is the one home-improvement I will always pay someone else to do...
 
thanks for the advice everybody it came out pretty good
& i hate painting too since i am not working i have time to paint lol

1 one more question how long after i paint the ceiling can i tape it so when i paint the walls i dont paint the ceiling

Don't tape it. With the textured ceiling you won't get good results with tape. Buy a painter's shield (basically a piece of aluminum with a handle), it will work better with less effort.
