Here we go,

NO stingray sales will happen without ACTUAL pics of the ACTUAL ray emailed to interested buyer before any transaction takes place. Once pic is agrred upon then and only then will the transaction go forward.
Second,
We sell 2.5 million $ a year in just fish. 24 hour 7 days a week operation here.
Hundreds of orders a week go out the door every week. 95% of our sales are petshops ( wholesale ). This selling to hobbyist is way to much time to handle . Seeing as these types of sales only accumilate to 5% of our business.
Mistakes do happen from time to time and we always make good on them if they happen. We are not perfect and dont pretend to be.
We see new types of fish all the time and some we cannot id. Pictures is the only way to go from this point forward. They ray in quetion with csx is crap. He did NOT buy this ray from us, infact we wont even sell to him at all, NEVER have. He has not been a tfd customer ever.
We dont want his bisiness, dont need it.
We sold a ray to pet shop in his area as a "unidentified", petshop was told that the pattern was like the ray in picture in the aqualog book page 113.
The ray in the background. Petshop asked if it was red and he was told NO.
Petshop said "ship the ray". Nothing else was disscused about this. I called the petshop after seeing Mikes post about a short tail, nothing was ever disccused about a short tail.At that time we offred a full refund, this was before the box even landed !!!!! We will not sell a ray just to have it shipped back, this is stupid. The new picture rule here at Tfd will take care of this problem. Also ALL emails will be saved along with attached pics for reference if needed. There are too many people on here that have it out for us, for those people, go buy your fish somewhere else, we dont want your business then, dont need it.
We are happy with our sales and 96% yes 96% of our customers are all repeat customers who order every week from us and are happy, very happy.
We try to take care of people, but this online crap is the worst, just horrible to deal with, very crazy and we hear this from alot of people who say the same thing about these forums, just horrible to deal with. There is always a small possy of people who train wreck everything. We just do not have time for this stuff.
Bottom line is this folks, if you want to order from us then do so and we appreciate it and will treat you right. If you dont , PLEASE PLEASE buy your fish elswhere we dont want or need the hassles of little old ladies whinning like little *****es all the time.
ALL ray sales will have pics prior to any transaction, no excuses.

Best regards, Darin . / Joe Tfd Fish, Inc.

I ignore the negative posts and base my opinion off of personal experience. I've never spoken with you in person but the orders that I have been a part of have been top notch. Keep up the good work:)

I havnt ordered yet but in the future I will because of positive things I heard.

well i understand where you are coming from, but why do you still have scorbina listed when you probally don't, are you sending petshops the most expensive yepezis? also, if you did make a mistake, would you properly inform the hobbiest how to ship the fish back?

Try and remember that when you order from TFD, they are a wholesaler. Make it easy for them, they are probably doing you a favor.

Whew, for a second, I thought you were going to drop 'net sales. I need my 12-16 boxes a year fix.

BTW, un-ID'd fish should have their pics emailed to me. For one, I can probably ID it. And B, it's probably odd enough for me to snatch before you have to redo the list.

I've heard nothing but good things from TFD and plan on doing an order here in a few weeks from them. They are a wholesale dealer who are nice enough to sell to hobbyists. They obviously run a good buisness and are keeping up with their good work.

Apparently Phil doesn't know how to count though... :D two comes after one, not B.

Keep up the good work, it is too rare to find wholesalers that will sell retail for exactly the reason you guys are running into.

*erm... sorry for the derail, TFD.*
