Anyone from MFK interested in a group buy?

There's the $200.00 minimum (for the entire group) and the shipping will be to burnaby. I'm new here, but we (BCAquaria) need more people to make the shipping costs worthwhile. The shipping is close to $300 I believe with custom included. On www.bcaquaria.com we currently have 4 people confirmed on the buy.

Even 10 people would be ideal. If we have 15 people interested, then shipping would only be $20 each.

Just to clear up... we already have $200+ worth of fish.

An also, we are shipping with fedex and this grants us DOA (death on arrival) guarantee.

If you are still worried about and deaths of your fish and don't want to do the shipping again, then order extras, maybe double of what you want! I'm sure lots of people on here have big tanks, so you can hold them and then sell them.

Question, they have a 200 min and shipping is 300?? Doesnt that negate the cheap prices? Sorta like china does on ebay, item sells for 1, but shipping is 15.

I dont know, I was just looking for a place to buy online, and TFD has great prices, I am just curious where i can go and get good fish and a good deal

That $300 shipping is to Canada, I don't think your shipping would be that much, you can always give them a call for a quote.

We have 8 people wanting this and I believe that the order is going to be delayed to sometime in spring for what I know.

So 300 divided by 8 is $37.5 per person.

if your ordering oddballs that your lfs doesnt carry i think he will still ship them to you even if you live by some of his delivery stores. i explained to him the our lfs carry lame fish 10 year old kids buy and not to much stuff for a true hobbiest and that the stuff i want they would order and mark up 5 times the amount so i wouldnt buy it anyway. told me to call him back when weather warms up a little and he would ship me some stuff.

Just curious fishguts, how much was your order (ballpark) before shipping? I am looking into trying to get a few oddball fish from here as well but am feeling quite deterred by that $200 minimum. But I'm running into the same problem of LFS mark-ups and lack availability.
