Nice small crabs, they look miniature of what those being caught on tv show Deadliest Catch.

Are they a full freshwater crab? and are they completely aquatic, or do they also need a land area? i'm thinking i may have seen them for sale here before, but can't say for certain...

As far as I know they're the only true freshwater crab available to the hobby for some time now. Msjinksd has had them for sale many times in her vendor section as well, so that's where you probably saw them. Aquabid.com also has them from time to time. Msjinksd also has a small profile about them on the net http://msjinkzd.com/news/articles/species-spotlight-limnopilos-naiyanetri-thai-microcrab/. They stay small and would be preyed on by most fish.
