Through my year of experience with my Titanium\Thai Silk flowerhorn, They do best with temps of 82-84 degrees, plenty of water changes(stir up gravel) and Epsom salt(2ounces per 20 gallons).

They are the discus of the flowerhorn breed. Very sensitive to poor water and lower temperature conditions, which if not kept up will cause digestive issues. As long as you keep things very clean, you will rarely have any issues.

Here is a video with my titanium and his female.

THX for looking. Wanted to share my experience.

Or.. you can do bb tanks.. Makes the water cleaner imo.

Or you can put in just enough gravel to make some piles and give them something to play with. My kamfa likes to move it around, he has one big pile by his hiding log.

I have owned ans keep Thai Silk also know as Titanium flowerhorn, I found them to be slower growers than regular Flowerhorns, also a little bit picker eater IMO. I just have some juivies at the present time hoping to get one like yours. Good trend hopefully they will have a spawn for you.

IMO the same advice could be given for all FH, not just TS.
This is what happens when one creates designer fish.......

I personally don't add epsom salt to my tank water on a regular basis, nor do I see any reason for others to. Feed a quality diet & you won't have any issues. Ditto to feeding discus.

Rd, I don't agree I have kept FH for several years and found some stains grow more quickly than others, some a 1/2" a week others 1/2" a month so on, I go agree it depends on how they are feed, water conditions, temperature (big one) etc. I said IMO Thai Silks are picky and grow slow than other strains of FH. I have a central system all the fish have the same water conditions, Temperature and food, and some grow quicker than others in there genes.

You don't agree with what?
I never said that TS aren't slow growers.
