Well,
Due to not A SINGLE reply on my thread wen i was desperate for help,
Out of 5 baby oscars i now only have 1 left, who looks like he is gonna spit it anyday.

Im pretty peeeeved that i came onto here for advice and help in my hour of need and no1 even bothered to reply.

So, to recap,
I bought 5 baby oscars, 3 albino tigers and 2 red tigers.
I also purchased a pair of maganese x flowerhorns.
the Mag's were attacking everything so i seperated them, but it was 2 late and the runt albino died.
The following day, both of my albino's who were left were lying on the ground and would not eat, even wen i placed it right in there face, so they BOTH died the day after.
So i had 2 Red tigers left BUT NOOOOO the bigger one of them died from being attacked by a Red devil, he got chomped in the head and just floated upside down, now i only have 1 left.

I got told that oscars can be put with fish of the same aggression, and they were all around the same size, all only babies as i like watching them grow up, so why did my jags and red devils beat the living daylights out of them. Im so upset over the whole thing but it just seems like, no1 gives 2 hoots.

:(:(:( :cry::cry::cry: :(:(:(

Sorry about your loss. Oscars are wimps compared to the fish you state did them in!

it sucks cos i posted 2 threads asking for help, but i waited and waited but no1 replied so i didnt no what to do, i'm only use to buying bigger fish and community fish.

So i was clueless on what to do. =(

Yeah, it happens to me sometimes. I dont get the amount of replies I want. But I could have told you that oscars mixed with those 2 other cichlid types, was a risky move. Oscars cant compare to red devils or jags.

Sorry about your loss

Very sorry about your loss. I know it sucks to lose fish.
Your jags and red devils beat up your o's because they are much more agressive fish. You were told correctly that oscars can be kept with fish of the same agression level, but those fish are more along the lines of severums, blue acara's, gold saums etc... Jags and devils don't usually make that cut.

Again very sorry about how things turned out. Keep asking questions and do a lot of research before purchasing any fish.

You can't blame anyone but yourself!!!! if you were a responsible fish keeper you would have reasearched the fish before combineing them! The LEF doesn't care if your fish die because you will be back to purchase more, they will tell you whatever you want to hear. :irked:

yea the fish you had them with are way more aggresive then they are especially as babies... And when you separated the Mag you probably gave the Red devil room to be more aggressive and thats wat killed your other fish... WHen you introdice cichlids they fight for a bit to find who runs the tank then they calm down most times and live together depending on space a species when you take out cichlids the remaining cichlids have to go through the fighting again... Sorry no one helped you before bro... MFK is def the best site for advice, you must have logged in at the golden hour which ever that was...

Sorry to hear of the fish lose. Wouldn't it be much smarter to seek advice BEFORE you atempt to keep fish together that you know nothing about?

Poor planning on your part, does not make for an emergency on other peoples part.
