Hello Friends,
10 days back I had got a new flowerhorn, and it was in lots of stress within 2-3 days was turning full black, then this forum saved me and my fh. It's recovering now. Here is one pic. If anyone could suggest any thing more about his it will be help full. The fh is now well known to our family members and responds actively now.

For feed i m giving two tone taiyo fish food, recommended by fish seller.
Will check for other suggestion on threads

Whichever is applicable
1. Get a bigger tank.
2. Get a testing kit.
3. Learn about Nitrogen cycle.
4. Feed quality food.
Agreed. They'll need to get atleast a 55-60g tank for just the one FH. A male FH can grow anywhere between 10-12in on average and should atleast have a tank width that is longer then the fish's max length.

As for the food I can't really suggest anything just since I've lived in the US my entire life and have no clue on what all is available in other countries.

As for the testing kit, I would definitely agree that everybody in the hobby should have one as a go to tool. Even if the fish are all fine and nothing seems wrong, it's still a good idea to test your water parameters just in case there's something going one that you just can't see. I know it's saved me allot of money in the long run and saved allot of my fish from possibly dieing. I would also recommend getting a master test kit to get more accurate measurements compared to test strips, it's a lil bit more complicated to use but easy enough to learn.
