My only suggestion would be to take those nutritionally deficient goldfish out and add sand!

but sand has silica in it and it will kill the rays

I left the sand out because of all the bicker in here about sand. I actually sat in a LFS deciding if I was going to use sand. I think I will stay with the bare bottom. The gold fish were in their to test the waters. I hate feeding them to the rays cause it makes the nitrate level shoot up fast.
