Hello...
I have been keeping fish on and off for years. The last time I had my 55g up and running was with salt water about 7 years ago. My kids keep my wife and I very busy witch has keeped me from setting up another tank.
This forum is the reason that I even thought about getting it up and running again. I have been checking out the site and reading as much as i can. There is so much great info and helpful people here.
After a lot of looking and reading about all kinds of fish I found that I really wanted an Oscar. What I discovered is that everyone and their grandpa has had an Oscar at some point in there lives... but not a single one of them keeped them in the currect condishions. If it was not for all the great and helpful people here i would probably be doing the same things.
My set up is a 55G with undergravel and a Magnum 350. this is working pretty good for now but i am looking to upgrade to a Eheim Pro 3 2075 it might be over kill but I think it is worth it.
I have had it up and running for about 4 months now and I have found that if I stick to the " MFK Rules" that it is much easier than i thought it would be to maintain.
Anyways I just wanted to introduce myself and say Thank you to everyone for all the great info that i have been reading in the Forum.
