I came home today to find out that not only are my festae eggs now wigglers, but my jag pair has laid eggs as well!!! Ive had the female for a while, shes around 9" and I got the male maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago, he is around 10". This is the first time she has laid eggs and the first time he has ever fertilized so there is a relatively high amount of white eggs (around 30%) but I am very happy. They waited to spawn in my large cichlid community tank instead of their private 125 so I am in a bind now with what to do with the other fish in the tank. The second pic shows the female's face.

well its like a friend of mine said when they were fighting nonstop in the 125 alone, "move em and they will spawn, leave em and they will kill each other" . Its funny how when you want something to happen it never does, but once you stop caring it will happen.

Update, the eggs got eaten when I was trying to net everything else out of the tank. My marbled catfish kept sneaking over and eating mouthfuls, he is gone as are all the other fish that were in the tank. I have hope that they will spawn again in the next few weeks.

Thanks for all the nice words!

yeah, it does but they will lay eggs again soon and this time ill be prepared for it!
