So the wait is over and i have received my second last batch of fishes ^^ Got my HBRTG and black aros (+L114 pleco), thanx to our MFK resident vendor
... but lots of problems along the way on my side - i can write an entire book on this ^^
The fish went into store in Singapore on THU and arrived in Vientiane on FRI at 9.00pm local time but they got to the fish tank at around 3.00am in the morning. The guy charged with picking up the fish by my bro went to wait for cargo in passenger terminal
by the time he realized that he was at the wrong place, the airport shutdown. He calls and asks is it OK to pick it up in the morning - i said no way (did not want to risk it). luckily he could tracked down the guy in charge of the store to get the fish out...had to get the guy from night club at one in the morning.
So then i was on the phone guiding my brother on how to climatize the fish and all that at least 3.00am. But anyway, all turned out fine.
HBRTG is in with arapaimas and recently moved X-back golden (who apparently rules that 8' tank) ... from a scared victim in his lonely 6' now he terrorizes the paimas. The new comer HBRTG is significanly smaller than X-back. hmmmm X-back is three finger deep while almost two finger deep so you can imagine the length difference. No fighting so far, but from what i hear from home, they swim side by side (HBRTG follows X-back all around the tank) - no torn tails or fins ... yet (hope it keeps that way). HBRTG has not been spotted eating yet
i suppose i better get a green aro to go in with them seeing that my current green is somewhat deformed
Black aro was deemed to be too small and delicate to risk putting in with HBRTG and X-back and paima ... sort of brown now... so he inherited 6' tank with L114 which is also super puny. Black aro is eating hikari floating sticks already!!!!!

obviously, no way to tell if puny L114 is eating or not ....
My bro promised me to email pix of the new fish but have not done so. anyway, i am heading back the coming weekend so will update then.
PS: do you guys recon they would have survived by SAT morning?
