I've noticed that the baby endlies are showing up at different fish stores around SoCal so I figured it would be cool if everybody who is picking them up will post in this thread the growth progress of their fish through the end of 2012.

I ask that if you join in this to please be post picture updates at least once a month, if not sooner if you're getting good growth rates.

The pictures would be best with a ruler or tape measure, either in tank against the glass, or pull out the fish to measure. I personally recommend keeping the measurements as less invasive as possible because the stress could cause stunting over time.

Share what you're feeding, your maintenance, tank size, etc...

I'll post mine this weekend when I get a chance to take pics.

I picked up a couple, and I just seen a bunch of 2in ornates, I'm gonna pick up a few of those as well. I have a endli I picked up that grew extremely fast he's about 10-12in now and he still has his gills.

Heres number one from super. Pets temple city.

I got mine at about 1.5 inches (yes that's right lol) 2 weeks now and they are about 3.5 inches and have external gills that are almost half their body length. I feed 3 times a day and daily water change. Pics later tonight.

Wow Kevin that's crazy growth! I'm going to step up my water changes.

What are you feeding?

I've been giving mine tilapia fillet, once a day, weekly 50% water changes on a 30g tank. My 1.5"ers only put on one inch in the first week.

I'm going to bump the feeding to twice a day and water changes to every other day.

Are you aging your water or doing anything other than refill and dechlor?

I have an RO system so no need to treat the water. I have the temp at 88 and feeding blood worms and raw shrimp cut into tiny pieces. They eat non stop lol. Oh, and good lord do they poo! Thats why I w/c so often!

I got in on the same Batch as Kevin, I have been feeding bloodworms, brineshrimp, beefheart and "fish jello" that my wife made. My biggest looks to be around 3" doing weekly water changes in a 40gallon grow out tank.

just picked up 2 2" last week... i'll see if i can find them in the planted tank! lol
