Realistically, what "black" ray combinations can I put in there having a width limiting foot print of two feet? I am not worried about filtration in this tank. Can I realistically get standard Leo's? or stick to the smaller black diamonds and hybrid combinations? I get a lot of differing views. Due to tank location I cannot get a 3 or 4 foot width in this area. Any help is appreciated. Am I doomed in my dreams? If I did Leos, how long would it be before the tank is limiting to their growth and movements as a guess?

You'll need to upgrade eventually with any black ray. 3 foot wide with 6-8 feet length is a minimum imo when they're adult size.

You could try a male, but they all get big eventually... Even the hybrids are mixed with other big rays so i do not see it helping. And BD's the breeder by me his males are all pushing 20 inches.

Yup pretty much your only option is scobina or hystrix

<---- Larry could live happily forever in a 2' :)

I've got plenty of Marbles here under a foot. Some have been here 5+ years.

But definitely not many species out there are going to be able to handle that 2' width for long.... :(
