Hey everyone,

I'm back and would like to share a few pictures of the new guy I just picked up. He's housed in a recently set up hardscaped 90 gallon I'm working on in the office. I'm going to try to update often and share the progress. There might be a quick YouTube video featuring this little guy in the near future as well! I think he has a lot of potential! Let me know what you all think?

His home all set up and ready for him!

Thanks for stopping by!

Your Red ZZ Dragon and tank both look outstanding!

Thanks! I want to add to the tank because it feels so empty. But I know this guy's gonna bulk up quickly and get too aggressive for any tank mates. Do you guys think I can get away with adding 2 bristlenose plecos about 5" each?

beautiful ZZ. I think you could get away with a pleco or two being that their body is so tough, only thing you'd have to watch out for is the FH going after it's eyes. But for the most part, a pleco would not be competing for food with the FH and would probably do okay. This is all just experience and speculation as every fish has it's own personality.

Thanks F1 & Cali for the comments!

So I have introduced 2 albino bristlenose plecos that I re-homed from my 55 gallon Mbuna tank at home. They are about 4-5" each.

When I initially introduced them, the FH was a bit curious and chased them around, bumped his kok and had me worried. I kept my eyes on them just in case they had to be removed. Luckily there are plenty of caves and crevasses among the rockwork. They hid for the most part the first day. Now it seems like they are all getting along and buddies. The female pleco is out more than the male, but I can say that they are always out compared to when they were in the 55, where I would only see them at night or partially out during the day. It could have been the traffic with all the cichlids in the previous tank.

It is fun to watch them interact now. The flowerhorn would come by, stop, look at them and go on with his business and the plecos just keep moving along and exploring the tank. It looks like there might even be some courtship going on with the plecos, they have yet to breed, but it does look like they are preparing.

Here are some pictures. I am working on putting a video together but will keep updating the progress periodically.
