Okay, so two of the balas in my 100G have started doing the infamous bala dance thing. At first, I thought it was a mating dance, but then I looked it up, and they are rarely if ever bred in home aquaria (and they're nowhere near full grown). I see them bite each others scales, but none come off, and they are not aggressive fish. Is it time for a bigger tank? Should I re-scape? What in the world does the bala dance mean!?!??!

Thanks!

they felt like dancing. lol

they want to "groove" it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are just going throught the motions man. They won't hurt each other or anything else. My Bala's used to do it all the time. Just kick back and enjoy the show. I truely miss my Balas :( . I had to give them away when I went to flight school.

Okay, thanks. I saw this happen in my 55G with smaller balas, and I wondered what it was. You sure this isn't a sign? Are they just freaking or something?

I'm going through that now with my similar small school of tinfoils, quite teritorial with each other, picking, dancing.

5, they wont bust my tank, its 3/4 inch glass, no way
