The beginning of a ]V[onstrosity

Ok this is going to be a really long thread which is going to run for a long period of time,
as i am going to be documenting the build of my new pond for 5300 US gallon pond.
which is going to have an inner dimensions of 12.5' x 11.5' x 5'

anyways heres the marking done, before the digging begins, in the below pic

will be updating this thread every week i get to mysore

ok there have been a few small changes to the dimensions, due to the overzealous diggers, we have a 14'x13.5'x6'+ are the new dimensions.

this weekend when i came back home i found the digging to have been completed and the bed for the pond to be finished.

Today the work for the walls was started at 0900hrs and finished at 1700hrs and the wall built was 2' in height

anyways without further delay here are the pics

this was the pic i took in the morning of saturday, before the work started
the small pond beside the new one is actually 9'+ in diameter

one more shot for comparison of the two ponds

one of the mason workers inside the pond readying the bricks before the walls are raised

the last brick being laid for the day

this is the update for today, lets see if any work does happen on sunday, there will be an update, until the next weekend.
