hey everyone I just wanted to share my experience with plants in the aquarium. Personally I just enjoy the natural look of them. I have however just experienced there most important role. I just checked my nitrate before my weekly water change out of curiosity alone and found that my level was 5.0ppm. This is with a fairly heavy bioload and a week after the last 50% water change. So how is this significant? Well my city water has 10ppm of nitrate right out of the tap. My aquarium is not only removing the nitrate produced by my fish load but is removing it from the source as well. That is very cool!! any more thoughts or experiences?
