What is the best quality, most nutritious flake food?

I've been using a variety of flakes including hikari, tetramin, and nutrifin.

Who seems to be the most advanced at keeping ash and phosphates to a minimum while providing the micronutrients for healthy growth and metabolism?

I've also recently heard that feeding pellets is not advised in aquariums as it can cause nitrate buildup. Can anyone support this notion?

Nitrate buildup? Not unless you leave the sinking pellets accummulating in the corner and decompose?

I've been able to grind up Omega One shrimp pellets in order to feed most sizes of fish adequately, except for spiney eels. Bloodworms be the trick for those picky eaters...

I've even pulverised the Omega One pellets to soak as coral feed... cheap solution for an expensive problem...
