The big move

So I have been talking about moving across the country since I first arrived here at mfk. It seems as if it has been forever talking about it and no action taken.

well it’s done now, I’m in my new city. We still have to find a place to move into so we are staying at my in laws place. They have been incredible at helping and even supporting my crazy antics.

First off I’d like to mention that most of my move, including where we will be moving to is all based around the fish in my aquarium, and the ones to be in my future aquariums.

I had to figure out how to transport 6 rays, 7- monster clown loaches, and a handful of fancy silver dollars. It was a bit of a challenge, and some of the events are still to come, so I hope to post more updates later on.

the original plan was to get a uhaul and move everything, that didn’t work out so I ended up buying a trailer of my own and towing it with my truck instead. So naturally I had to fill up the trailer with tanks before I could see what I could bring with me (don’t tell my wife that’s how I figured it out).

I have been working at a tank manufacturing facility for almost a year now, so I was able to get a really great deal on a couple tanks. One was built for me to my specs and the other was just laying around so I had it modified to my specs.

I had this bad boy built and crated onto some dolly’s so I could wheel it into the trailer. I also had the trailer door modified so I could wheel it in with out any issues

I was able to get a friend to take care of my rays and clown loaches until I can get set up here on the other side. My heart goes out to this man, as he is a true life saver and fellow mfk member.
