Hello Folks,

Just wanted to share with you what we have been doing during this brutal cold winter weather.

See my DIY 210gal wood stand, thanks to my dear friend handy man Gerry who designed and construction.

Its unclear from the drawings if you intend on adding a center support across the 6 ft span, but its definitely needed, and I would say that's a bare minimum. A 210 gallon tank weighs up near 2000 lbs, way too much for a 6 ft. span of 2X4.

Good design notching the uprights for the longitudinals, but the gaps are terrible unless those pics were taken before installing fasteners. A center brace or two braces splitting the the stand into thirds is a must. I would also add a second upright 2x4 at each corner oriented perpendicular to the existing upright.
