The blue mbuna

I have a Johanni in my African tank and I picked up another fish today that is not a Johanni, but I lost the receipt with the name.

Any idea what the lighter blue one is next to the Johanni?

Looks like the poor quality "Johanni" they carry at PetSmart.

No, I bought them from a lfs and the are cousins to the Johanni. The females were yellow.

The only 2 melanochromis I know of with yellow females are auratus and Johanni.

Their females aren't yellow, just duller versions of the male. Yours could possibly be a female or just a male who's colors haven't intensified yet. It good you were able to find it's identity though.

I saw that. Not sure why I thought the females were yellow.
