The Breeding Contest - 2011

The magazine TFH did a breeding contest that just ended so I thought it might be fun to do something similar here. This isn't an official contest, and there are no prizes besides bragging rights, but feel free to show off your projects for 2011 - AND ONLY FOR 2011! Nothing older than that!

Rules: Must have a picture to verify breeding, and multiple spawns from the same species don't count. I'll start.

Corydoras C.121

Dicrossus maculatus (got eaten before free swimming though)

Cryptoheros cutteri "Rio Mongo"

Cuban cichlids (eggs on wood)

I also got my black neon tetras to spawn, but the eggs were eaten. Next goal is a pair of firemouths, which I'm hoping will spawn any day now.

my firemouths never got any fry out of th first 3 or so spawns but they have eggs now and are looking good

it would be cool to have a contest of who can grow out festae and breed them the fastest, but here is my jaguars who i am selling and i hope to post pics of me breeding cubans that ima buy, and in the future i hope to breed ornatum or istlatum also the jags were laying there eggs in the video which was about noon yesterday 06/29/11

Heres my Cryptoheros Sajica. Male is 3 inches, Female is 2.

No fry survived but this was there first time. Hopefully they will spawn again in a few weeks.

My cutteri have spawned 4 times in 8 weeks, I'm sure you will not have an issue with sajica. I've tried getting them NOT to spawn--to no avail!
