Heres the story, I have a murray cod who sometimes gets the grumps digs a hole and sits in it. anyway he had been sitting in his hole at the back of the tank for ages so i decide to try and intice him out with a lump of fish that he normally snaps up. (I usually feed him when he comes out and begs for it which he does everytime you walk past the tank, he just doesn't get fed everytime!) No luck he lifts his head a bit but settles back down. So a cupple of days later I drop in a prawn, same reaction. Next its a yabbie, no luck and now i have a yabbie digging up all my plants. I had done a water change a week before so my params are fine. I'm getting a bit worried so i give him a goldie from another tank. Nothing. Now i'm worried. he loves those guys. So i stick my hand in try to push him out. Stupid me, hes gone and dug a hole thats calasped a rock thats wedged him in the corner without squishing him. So i shift the rock and push him out, after he snaps up the goldie, he settles down in front of the tank. Hes got like rubbed scales and white spots where i guess he tried to push out. Now for the piont of the story, My all time favourite product is stress coat. I use it for every water change and have never needed anything else. So i decide to do a change and wack a bit in. That was this morning, i went down just now and no spots. I was pretty stoked. These spots looked like little lumps of fungus. I mean it was either that or the water change, but nothing much parameter wise changed, just trates down 10.
Anyway just though i would share.
Catch ya!
