Has anyone noticed a color preference by their fish in terms of commercial food? I know studies have been conducted (for fishing) as far as colors, shapes and scent attractants.

I've noticed with fair consistency my fish react to red pellets first, then brown, then green. It seems to carry over to live food, at least with my Oscar. Normally he chows down nightcrawlers. But this once I ordered from a different company since they sold smaller amounts. These nightcrawlers are a different color, more tan/dark brown as opposed to the other company whose nightcrawlers are red. After eating one Brick hasn't bothered with any more. Either the color doesn't appeal to him or they don't taste/smell as good. He just rolls an eye like "pass." Bobo my choc will eat these, but they're a bit large for him to handle and he struggles a bit...I've had to give him the smaller ones (they're super sized, 6-8 inches). Obviously none of my other fish are equipped to eat these (my fiesty honduran redpoint Pip attacked one. I guess if he pecked at it enough he might chip off a piece, lol). He's a hoot. The acaras also took a shot.

May end up putting these outside and just go back to ordering the previous stock.
