The color on my new flower horn??

Hey i bought a flower horn a couple months back and i was wondering how long it takes for him to get his color?? He was only a baby when i got him?
any help is greatly appreciated Thanks

how big was he when you got him
the colors depend on the food, genetics, surroundings, lighting and many more parameters

what type of FH have you got
in a ZZ red dragon the red color increases and intensifies as the fish grows bigger, but the color is much more prominent after he reaches at least 6" or so
also the stars and the patterns might also change

Try feeding it with MP and do regular WC.

try feeding the fish food with color enhancers, and treat the fish with freeze dried krill. Also add a colorful background and substrate. Avoid black and white substrate as this will darken or wash out the fish.
