The common Carp

Hey guys I was at the lagoons at lake erie and my buddy and I landed a 2 foot 9 pound common carp with our bare hands in about a foot of water and in a marsh ( there were hundreds of them) anyways I brough it home and tossed it in my pond will it be fine. health wise like will it pass paristites ect to my fish? thanks

As long as it looks good it should be alright, they are the same species as koi after all.

thanks its lost a couple of scales during capture so im gonna quarentine it anyways to make sure
