i went to special order a festae today because i havnt seen any at any of the lfs. when the guy brought up the list he asked if i wanted a "true red terror" or a "red festae", i said a "true red terror" since i have definitly seen that as a common name but was wondering if there a different species. i know there is another species called a false red terror. could that have been what they called a red festae?

Why is he not using scientifc names when placing orders? You could end up with pretty much anything otherwise.

That's how I ended up with a motaguense instead of a managuense. Both Parachromis, but vastly different otherwise. And I even gave the guy the full scientific name and common name.

that was my fault cause i forgot the scientific name. without acess to the internet at the time i was in a bad position and probably should have just waited to come home and check the scientfic name. but i figured they are a pretty common fish so i wouldnt have any problems and if he didnt put the order in then i would have had to wait another week.
