just an update on my tank; the floor base is messy, currently sill working on it; they've just moved into a 90gallons tank;I will add some woods soon,
and perhaps will also add some other type of bichirs too; still thinking about other fish that could go in together, definately not plecos,..; but maybe some loaches?

I have question for pict. no 2,3, and 4; could you guys tell if this is a longfinned senegal? I asked this question previously, but those fins are really long compare with the rest of smaller senegals in the tank, and I am still not too sure about it, pls help...

It looks like a long fin, just that it's fins aren't the usual length for that morph.

What are the dimensions on this tank? Did you build it yourself?

nope, the tank was free, I was going to build one, but a friend gave his away,so I took it and cleaned it, and try to make it look better;
the tank size is 150 x 40 x 60 cm, using that conversion in the web, it makes 95 gallon, so, I think its a big enough for the little troopers inside.
as for the bichir on the pict. I agree, I think is a longfinned after all,
and as for the groups, I found the ornate is the most aggressive one, it even attack the other mate bigger than it self.
by the way, I heard albino has a shorter live time than he rest of the bichi, is this true? I hope not, I like these bichirs...

I don't know about albino lifespan, I think it depends on a lot of things.

thanks anyway,
I've been surfing around this forum, and some people were talking about their albino life span, then it made me felt down about it, but I guess as long as I take a good care of them, everything will be OK for the bichirs,
the good thing about all of my bichirs right now, they eat anything from live food to pellets, except the ornate one; it doesnt seems to like the food I put in the tank, I saw the ornate eating small amount of sinking pellets before, but I thought it was finally gave up its stubbornness, lol,
I am thinking to get a endlicheri for the groups, I hope its not that aggressive as the ornate,
cheers
