I am having problems with my camera loading videos. The fish crew in the "Crud Tank" are the rowdiest I have ever seen. I come in tthe room, of course all the Bluegills, Warmouths and Green Sunfish are lined up at the glass some more impatient than others. As I pass the tank to get the worms ready, water splashes on the floor. While getting the debris off the worms, water splashes on the floor. When I drop the food in, Water splashes me in the face, clothes and of course the floor!!!

I lost the first green sunfish I had, last week from an unknown cause. I am hoping it's not the possible hybrid that killed it. I think it is a bluegill/green cross or a female green. If I can get the videos up you can see this bizzare fish. She attacks all fish under 7 inches plus. She is only 3 inches. Looks like she grows faster than the others her size.

Big Blue has officially decided to stay at the bottom near the catfish. I measured Big Blue and he is 7 inches and so is the other large bluegill. Big Blue challenges the other large fish and has won so far. Today I saw something different, Big Blue had to flee. The other large bluegill is more interested in watching me and eating than anything else. He also refuses to let the other fish watch me.

I am amazed that Blue has a damaged mouth from fighting and won't slow down. The two of them swirl around and around in a complete circle then bite, attack, atack and break away. Every now and then one of the 5 inchers decide to do battle with Blue and they circle about 2 times max and change their mind. Blue wins of course.

Wow, sounds like you have a lot of excitement going on in that tank, not sure its all good but some videos would be cool

Too many tank mates and the larger tank is not coming until I buy a house. I think the count is 13. Two large 7 inch bluegills, One 12 inch brown bullhead. One 5 inch bluegill, remaining fish are 4, 3 and 2 inches. I know I need a larger tank and that's where the 300 gallon comes in. Until, we move in the next month, I have to make do. The houses are either going to need a heavy duty storage building put in the back to house my plants and all the fish or I need a house with a basement.

Nice, a 300gal native fish tank is gonna be awesome.

Well, imo i think your natives are overcrowded in your 75gal which makes them fight for territory and food. Bluegills are aggressive natives, they are pretty mean, especially to each others. And about them splashing water, i think that's what they do in the wild or in there natural habitats when it comes to food.

I know it's my fault. I didn't think we had to move this early. Since we do, I stopped on the 300 because some of the style homes might not accomodate it. I had planned on breaking the fish up and putting them in other tanks, if the house is too small for a 300. Either way, these fish will be happier.
