The cutest thing you've ever seen

Alright, so I went to the LFS today, and talked to the fish guy (who is actually very knowledgeable and helpful) quickly caught on that I like BIG fish, specially Catfish... SO he started pointing out the cute mini RTC about 2.5-3" and told me about the 12" TSN they just sold, and pointed out some others before he mentioned that he just got in two of the tiniest RTCxTSN Hybrids he had ever seen.

He took me over to the tank, and they were the cutest thing I have ever seen! So... you know me... I had to get one...
So here she is, to take the late Daisy's place in the updated Dukes clan.
She's about 1.5" and I moved all my fish around and made a 10g into a baby hybrid jungle gym with plants and tubes and rocks and all kinds of fun stuff to hide in and explore. Shes shareing it with a molly pair and my sun cat. I wanted to make sure there was no chace of anything getting close to being able to eat her...

I'm thinking I may go back and get the second one if its still there... we'll just have to see, I exhausted my fish budget for the mean time...

LoL. I've never seen one that small.
His gills do look a little jacked though. Toss up some more pics once he get acclimated.

Necro's is 38" now? If I remember correctly...

I was noticing the gill as well... kinda worried, and another reason I'd like to get the second one, if its gill looks normal. I was kinda hoping she'd grow out of it, or be able to cope with it like many of the TSN's with deformed heads...

I got the same baby fish right now... girlfriend brought it home at 1.5" and was sold to her as a Jaguar Catfish for $8.99! I told her it's not ~.~" but she won't listen

They are very cute little guys, I'm in love already and only had it for a few hours

Cool, my LFS has a bunch of these at that size. Even small RTCs too. No way I could get one since they grow massive. Theyre priced at 12.99 or 14.99 cant remember.

I hope this one makes it. Then she can go in with her big brothers, the largest at the moment being my 11" RTCxTSN Roscoe, They'll be in a 300g till they outgrow that, then into an indoor pond

So what is he anyways? LOL! I still don't know.. i'm not a catfish expert.. but he sure eats crazi!
And you think you got no place to house him? I ran outta room in my tank already! He's in a quarintine 5gallon right now... and my gf couldnt resist... the largest empty tank i have now is a 29... i dun even know how to break it to her that i won't be able to keep him~
And yah.. $8.99... not tax neither LOL!
