As of now, it's just an idea. I always said the only thing that would switch me back from saltwater would be keeping FW rays again. That time may have come....
I've kept motoros and hystrix (no confirmation if they were true hystrix, or some other species of teacup ray) in the past. So, while I am somewhat prepared for what lay ahead, It's been the better part of 5 years since my last ray. I know in the past five years the SW side of the hobby has developed quite a bit, just seeing where I stand on ray keeping.
Current tank is a 96"x24"x24" 240g, 75g sump, 3x filter sock rack, and two dc12000 for return. Pair of jebao wp40s, along with a few other power heads who's names/flow rates I'm too lazy to retrieve ATM. Please make suggestions if I'm far off.
What are you guys thinking as far as species that are suitable? I plan on upgrading to a larger tank in the next few years, but as we all know **** happens, and want to plan on what's suitable in this tank. Love leos, marble motoros, teacups, etc.
What are the quarantine requirements/recommendations for rays? I have never quarantined in the past for freshwater. Then again, I hadn't for SW, and that changed very quickly. I currently have two 40Bs as my quarantine system. All my SW fish go through 2 rounds of prazi and 3 rounds of cupramine. I pride myself on a disease free system.
