IN MY TANK
Hi,

Yesterday i was doing my weekly clearning of my tanks and it went all wrong, i broke one of the sliders and the sump on my 280gallon tank, this is how it happen, i took out the slide and left standing up against the wall next to the tank(one of the stupidest things i have done:confused:) it fell down and hit the sump and broke.

Lucky i had a spare sump from my bro's old tank laying around so i used that and for the slider i use a sheat of 2mm plastic that i also had laying around.

I happy to say that this morning there was no dead fish laying on the floor :D and that plastic did the job:naughty:

As for the sump it seems to working ok.

The clean up was not very good but, there was water everywhere:(

Well things happen for a reason, now i got to build a bigger better sump:naughty: so its all good:grinno:

Here is a few pics:

I am 100% sure it won't break :) I have not water tested it yet but don't see why it wouldn't work

I have personally tried using plastic container, but the problem i had is that silcone does not bond to the plastic for some reason.

I now am going for another glass sump:screwy:
