I don't want Angelfish babies...or fry of any kind for that matter. I just want a community tank that is pretty. I am waiting til Friday to add more fish, because my tank just finished cycling. I keep reading about "conditioning" fish for spawning, and about how fish eat their eggs. My temperature is 76 degrees, ph 7.2- not ideal for spawning. Not a lick of slate in my tank. My fish were added SATURDAY afternoon and you would think they would still be a bit stressed by the move. Not to mention they have a cat and two human kids constantly staring at them.
Nah, looked in the tank last night, the female is laying eggs, male right behind her. Eggs all over the plant. Normally the community fish would eat them, but I have none. Now, do these Angelfish eat their eggs? Not as of this morning!
If they haven't when I go home, I guess I'll be off in search of baby brine sriimp.
If anyone needs to get their fish in the mood, send them to my house.
I'm renaming the female Jenna Jameson.
