So here is a pic of the damage My RD did to the slightly bigger Texas i placed him in the tank with. Sorry about the crappy pics my digi camera batteries went dead so i had to use my phone. He really messed him up bad but now that i removed him from the tank the Texas is now back to bullying the Mayan as he used to.

yeah add a little salt or something to, to help him heal and ward off infection. definitely looks like that red devil has matured and decided he now needs a tank to himself

No pics of the RD?

RD's level of agression is often under estamated by some, like the guy that says my pit bull is sweet and loves other dogs. I don't advise mixing one with anything other than a female and even then keep a close eye on them and a divider handy. I've noticed the RD/Midas can be extreamly aggresive and some are outright killers also the gold morph is highly agressive and a Tex is no where at the same level of agression of a big male RD that wants the tank, it's asking for Lone Star Sushi.

He should recover, keep the water clean and be ready incase a fungal infection shows up. The salt as suggested is a good idea.

^ I thought that was the Myan he put he back in with, I didn't pay much attention I was looking at the Tex.

my bad here he is in his new 55g home, ALONE. Not the best pic though, i will try to get some more up. It just goes to show each fish has their own temperment cause I owned a RD before and he got his ass handed to him until it was finally killed by my old Mayan of the same size.
