The difference between a 125 and a 180?

Both are 6 foot tanks... So is the difference between the 2 just as significant as the jump between a 55 and a 75? Or is it a jump more like a 55 to a 4ft 90?

A 6 foot 125 is 18 wide and a 6 foot 180 would be 24 wide. I think its also a few inches taller

I know the extra 6 inches width will make a big difference in making the fish more comfortable

125 is meant for lots of smaller fish, 180 is mostly for a few large fish.
narrow tanks are mostly for small community fish

A 180 can house some nice clownloaches and geophagus a 125 can house some nice flowerhorns

overall in general, 125g can house fishes ranging from 1" - 15" max.
180g can house fishes ranging from 1" - 20" max. they should be comfortable in being able to turn. shouldn't get fish that maxes out at 24" because they will feel stuffed.
