Very much south..
Life has taught me that the more emotionally connected you feel to a particular fish, the more easy things can go downhill....

i got this guy, grown on flakes, a month ago, give or take....

Last week i gave him a normal worm i picked up in the garden, which he immediately ate with gusto...

Well he blocked. And has been deteriorating ever since...i am tottally out of sorts. Do not know what more to do, just waiting for him to die with dignity...ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1364164294.208555.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1364164310.332548.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1364164328.171938.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1364164345.951372.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1364164358.723191.jpg

At first it was a swelling on the sides, then it evolved to a swelling in the anus region.

His anus looks awfull, a brown hole.

By this time his eyes have started to pop out, i believe due to the internal pressure....

Gave him mashed peeled peas with epsom salt, gave him epsom salt in double solution straight to the gut, had him for a couple of days in a metro treated hospital tank...

For the first three to cour days he continued swimming, now he is so puffed up, sits in his ballon belly, and refuses to get better or to die.....

I tried massaging him very gently, slightly rubbing towards the anus...

Nothing works....

Am out of solutions.

No...

What would you try, Koji?

Just the metro, in tank and also gut injected...

It cannot be a coincidence that i fed it the worm....stupid mistake... ( but then there are no chemicals at all outside )

Could it be that it was too much for a flakes used stomach?

Stupid mistakes one keeps doing after all these years....

it could be coincidence. Have you added salt and raised the temperature. Good luck.

I will give the internal bacteria medication a try. And also do some epsome salt treatment to make the fish excrete as much toxin as possible. I have done syring to pull out liquid from their stomach before. Some may work some may not.

I feel that it's some form of bacteria working in there which causes the fish to swell up building up toxin in it's body not releasing out. Worst case the fish scales may pop out. If that's the case then it will be too late.

Of course i did the epsom salt.... Guy is stuffed with epsom up to his ears.

Only thing i have not tried is pulling liquids out of his stomach....point he is and i am, anything goes if he is alive tomorrow...

I have just the right thing.....a baby parrot very thin feeding syringue...

Either this last attempt or let him die with some dignity.
