Thanks! Yeah I mean she's the first turtle I've owned (although I've got some g. spengleri in another enclosure now) and when she first started doing this I remember thinking, "Aren't turtles supposed to be kind of calm and slow?" but she is definitely not. Always on the move, and almost never basks.

What kind of turtle is that? My wife and I had Red Eared Sliders before moving (found them a good home) and they would splash whenever we walked in to feed them.

Reimanni snakeneck. Awesome turtles, I think mine is a little unusual behavior-wise. She's very excitable and a terrible hunter.
