The final stocking for my 20 long

I am looking for a hardy schooling fish (maybe 12) to stock my 20 gallon long aquarium. It’s fully cycled and is currently stocked with 6 panda Cory’s, 4 otos, and one Amazon puffer. I have tried cardinals twice and after 15 dead fish, there is one survivor who’s going strong. Any suggestions?

Suggested them due to the size of the aquarium. Try glowlight tetras they are hardy.

What left the cardinals dead? Puffer killing them?
Danios are hardy and fast enough to avoid predators. I'd try 6 danios of your choosing (any species but giant)

Cardinals died of an unknown cause. Possibly a pathogen. I took a trip to my LFS today and picked up 12 red phantom tetras. I am very pleased by their looks and they are eating already. I have noticed some chunks missing from some fins and some chasing by the puffer. If this continues, the puffer will be relocated until I can get him in my 75 that will be set up in September.
