put him to sleep what do you mean. Even though ya keep him in house to still make hibernation conditions for him? How you do it im curious?

I have heard of people hibernating their torts in the refridge crisper drawer with shredded newspaper.

I keep him in the garage with the fish tanks. So it gets cold enough for him to hibernate. All I do is add Eco Earth for him to bury himself in and he snuggles up in the substrate, lol. Save me a bunch on food cost

Yeah i guess that would be a great benefit, not buying food for a while.
