Spring, TX
Well Its been a long wile since i posted and i wanted to update everyone on how things have been going. I finally moved the wife down to TX with me in out little place (rented) The trip wasn't to bad it was about 2days and dad and sis came along so no one had to drive alone. We picked up a 50 gal from a friend right before moveing so things were going to go well. But sadly we found out the 30 gal broke in the process of getting her. we tried to pad it in well with blankets and light boxes but in the back of a truck weight shifts randomly. So Dragon (Bichir) has to remain in the 10gl for a little longer... all the other guys that were in the 30 are now in the 50. not the way i wanted. with the glass broken on the 30 it was a quick scrub down on the 50 and transplanting all the gravle from the 30 in along with all the water left in the 30 (to keep gravil wet) Although it seemed to work alright i owuld rather have set it up by it self and let a cycle go though it.. So the move it self was ok Pictures of new tank will come later

A bit of the bad news yeah the 30 broke but wife is thinking abotu sealing over the cracks with something and having a reptile tank or something... However.. we've been in the new house for about a week now... One of my fishies Magic (dojo Loach) jumped out of the new 50 gal. Not sure why but we didn't find him till we noticed the kittens playing with something... He wasn't my oldest fish but close to it... he was one of the largest i had And I will miss him. Not sure if i will get another but we will see. Hopefuly once we DL the pictures from the camera hes in them. Magic was 6-7"

And your surprised your dojo jumped out, in my experience its common sense to have a lid over any tank :hitting:, with dojos, kuhlis, etc

he just moved, give the guy a break:screwy: no reason to :nutkick: a guy when he's down already!

Sorry for your loss'. Those loaches are susceptible to atmospheric pressure changes (makes some go crazy).

That may be so but its never been a issue before with me.

I moved down 2 months ahead of my wife to start work and get the house. After talking with her she said he did splash around the top a little some times but never noticed it looking like he was trying to get out she "though" he was just looking for food. Both him and the golden dojo of mine would come up to the top and pull the brine shrimp blocks down and hog them (little pigs -.-)

I appreshate it and as soon as i get my paycheck in the bank i'm going to go look for a good top to put over this tank. The friends that sold it to us only had a light and a front lid so theres quite a gap. I tried moveing them around a little in the opening to make smaller gaps instead of one big one but its no real fix.
