no where
ok im having a debate here!

ok dont get me wrong i LOVE my oscars but i also want a community tank. so far the oscars hasnt aten any fish or baby swordtails ( wonder why? ) temp is in the low 70s ( round 74 to 75 cant get a heater right now, well i have one but just waiting on useing it ) ive always wanted a tropical tank to.. full of livebearers! ( already have 4 platys 2 swordtails ?? swordtail babys 5 or so baby guppys, just need mollys next ) my oscars are 6 inches right now. wil they still get along with the livebearers when older?? if not i may trade them in, again i would HATE to do that but id have to if i wanted a tropical tank but if they will get along ill keep them ) OR get rid of my cons that are on the other side of the divider and just throw my livebearers on that side ( well swordtails and guppys i will, platys are cheaper by the dozen so to say lol ) but ill have this talk with my grandmother to as she and my grandad like the oscar.

the convict babys ill just throw on the other side of the divider and who survives then i guess survives lol i will get rid of the females and keep a couple males.

so should i:

keep the oscars and see how they play along?
get rid of the oscars and start a community tank?
throw the swordtails and guppys on the other side of the divider and get rid of the cons?

what do you all think? and what would be better for money wise? ( if i left it the way it is, its not costing me as much, but if i got rid of the oscars id have to dig out some money to get some community fish.

hmmm OR OR when my aunt moves out and if im still here im setting up another tank upstaires ( small 20-29 gallon dunno what one yet ) when/if i do that im throwing my swordtails and if i still have the guppys by then, then ill throw them in there and add 2 female platys if there still alive. and get some ghost shrimps and corys for bottom feeders... so is this a better idea? i got the tank sitting at a friends right now. so no need to by a new tank ( 29 gallon ) and have all the filters i need here ( plus have another that is comming with the tank ) all i would need to get is just some cheap ghost shrimps and 4 or 5 corys cause i already have the rest of the fish. so is this a BETTER idea?

Ok..Kudos! I missed that..

I don't think it would be fair for them to live with a divider though..

I guess it depends on what fish you have the most attachment to..Which fish make you happy?

Why do you want a community tank so bad?

Think about it this way...

Whenever we see some guy with a largish tank overstocked with arowanas, pacus, cinchlids, catfish and discus...we always call the guy a moron...

But we never say that about the small fish....but sometimes..the small fish in the community tank looks just as ridiculous LOL..when you think about it..(I don't know about the fish you are talking about so please I mean you no offense)

get a second tank for the livebearers take out the divider in your current tank and keep an eye on those cons I had a male once beat the crap out of an 8" oscar HTH Mike:)

LMAO thats why i have the divider in there. the cons and there frys on one side ( the divider only took a foot of space from the whole tank so 1 foot by 18 wide is what the cons got and the oscars got the rest of the space. )
