So lastnight was an interesting night. My grandma just retired and moved to Melbourne from Wisconsin. So me and my husband went to visit her and she has been living with the same abusive a-hole for the last 12years. I'm talking her beats her and is just an awful. So we started drinking some margaritas and he was getting jealous that shes been spending so much time with me and starts getting angry. I haven't seen her in 4years and I had only been there for less than 24hr. So she goes to bed and I start hearing her yelling in pain so I just up and pound on the door. And start yelling at him. Then that's when we decide that we are leaving tonight 12years is enough!!! So I started to pack all her things that were important. And as I'm walking back in from getting her computer hes standing there, "Hey b*tch there's a coin collection in the bedroom you haven't stole yet!" So I go get my grandma up and we leave. Everyone in my family has been trying for so long to get her away from him, and I did it!!! As we walked out the door he held out the bottle of tequila and said, "Don't forget this" and I said, "Oh yeah, breakfast!" And we drove back to my house an hour and a half away at 2AM. This man just retired from the FBI and his actions really make me wonder about our justice system. Because we've called the cops on him multiple times when he has beat the living crap out of her and held a gun to her head, and nothing happens....
Anyhoo point is I'm glad this is over, hopefully she doesn't go back to him. I really don't understand the whole battered woman syndrome... Sorry I needed to tell someone!
