This may have been posted already but damn is this hose nice, compact and has a shut off valve already on it. Ive been using one with out issue for a few months and it is bar none the best accessory I have had. its the Pocket Hose! I havnt used it for draining because I use a 1" diameter hose for that but hooked to my sink for filling and storage its unbeatable!! got mine at walmart....

Its compact storage is worth the non draining ability. my water source is 30ft away or so and storing 2 large hoses for me was an issue...its nice because I can go from tank to tank without turning my faucet off and readjusting my water temp. I could of bought a shut off valve for a garden hose but then im still stuck with a garden hose or a python and storage

Looks like a cool hose.

That being said, I've never had much issue storing my 50' python. Usually goes in the cabinet under one of my tanks. Actually never gave it much thought.

I've had bad luck with the Pocket hose. I used it twice and it sprung a leak in the hose itself and was shooting water in a 30 foot arc across the house! Good thing my windows were closed. When I returned it to the store for a refund, I was told they have had a lot of complaints, either the hose develops a hole or the fittings break off.

I'll stick with my 50 foot RV hose. I just mounted a hanger on the wall and coil it up after use.

glitch detected... Go for DIY, it's replaceable when it turns you down, also the materials can be recycled afterwards...

I use it and love it. Switched from the python tubing to a garden hose to this. Over all I will recommend it over python tubing or a normal garden hose.

I full my tanks up from a sink in the basement so I take my hose upstairs and drop it down the laundry chute. This is much easier to use. This hose also does fold and block the water flow like a garden hose. All the water drains out when the hose is shut off.

There are a few things I don't like about it.

The first is if I have the close switch on at the end off the hose the pressure builds up and it will pop. I think this is a problem with my sink more then the hose. I also use on for my garden and it takes the pressure fine.

The second thing is if you want to just leave the hose in the tank to fill it will wiggle like a snake. If you try to hold it down with something heavy it will block the water flow. I use these flexable ropes I got at REI to hold it down.

Not the biggest issue but if you get a 50ft hose, it's 50ft with water running through it. If no water is running though the hose it's much shorter.
